The lights are up, the mystery is unfolding, and Halloween has arrived at The Spotlight Playhouse.
Salem’s Daughter opened this weekend, launching a thrilling new production from The Bluegrass Players and setting the mood for our spooky season. The cast has brought tremendous energy, focus, and heart to this suspenseful story, and their commitment throughout the rehearsal process is evident in every scene.
Written by Craig Sodaro and directed by Dana Hendren, Salem’s Daughter moves between 1691 Salem and the present day. When a group of teenagers gathers at a house built on the site where condemned witches were buried, an innocent celebration takes a disturbing turn. Years later, unsettling reports from the property force the past back into the present, and raise questions no one wants to answer.
With its blend of supernatural mystery, secrets, and psychological suspense, the production offers an ideal beginning to the Halloween season. It is recommended for audiences ages 13 and up.
Congratulations to the entire cast and crew on a successful opening weekend. We invite audiences to join us at The Spotlight Playhouse in Berea for this eerie and absorbing production.
